Grade needed on the final = (Desired overall grade - Current grade × (1 - Weight of the final exam ÷ 100)) ÷ (Weight of the final exam ÷ 100)

Frequently asked questions
The calculator uses your current grade, the final's weight and your target. With a 75% current grade, a 30% final and an 80% target, you need about 91.67% on the final.
It is the share of your overall grade that the final exam is worth. A 30% weight means the final counts for 30% and your existing work for 70%.
It means your target is not reachable with that exam weight alone. You would need extra credit or a lower target.
A low or negative required score means you have already done enough to hit your target, even with a poor final.
