Frequently asked questions

This calculator averages the grade points of all your subjects. Enter each subject's grade point and it returns the grade point average, assuming each subject carries equal weight.

When subjects carry different credits, a weighted GPA multiplies each grade point by its credits before averaging. This tool uses the common equal-weight method; use a weighted method if your subjects differ in credits.

A widely used rule multiplies the GPA by 9.5 to estimate the percentage. The calculator shows this automatically; check your institution's official conversion if it differs.

It works with any consistent scale — enter your grade points as your institution defines them (for example on a 10-point or 4-point scale) and it averages them the same way.

Enter the grade points per subject (e.g. 9, 8, 7.5). Read off your gpa, together with subjects and percentage (× 9.5) — the calculator updates automatically, with no button to press.
