Formula

The Fuel Savings Calculator uses the formula:

Annual fuel saving = (Annual distance ÷ Old fuel economy - Annual distance ÷ New fuel economy) × Fuel price per litre

Worked example

For example, with old fuel economy of 12 km/l, new fuel economy of 18 km/l, annual distance of 15,000 km and fuel price per litre of ₹100, the annual fuel saving is ₹41,667.
