Frequently asked questions

Divide your time in minutes by the distance in kilometres. Running 5 km in 30 minutes is a pace of 6.0 minutes per kilometre.

Pace is time per distance (minutes per km); speed is distance per time (km per hour). The 6 min/km pace above is the same as 10 km/h.
